Wow big announcement coming in from Sabre. Looks like they are trying to release the 180mm version of the Sabre by late Summer 2012. There has been a lot of demand for a smaller hanger width and the guys at Sabre have really answered. Check out the first Rapid Prototype of the new Hanger. Were all stoked, so should you!

The super popular Penny Skateboards are now coming in a whack load of new colorways. They now have color options for trucks as well as decks and wheels. Penny skateboards is also offering the Nickel Board this year which is slightly larger than the original Penny Board.
Riviera Skateboards Presents The Catalina Classic

Riviera Skateboards is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Catalina Classic Invitational. Here is the description of the event that they have provided:
“In 1977, a small group of elite downhill skaters took over the City Of Avalon to participate in the original ‘Catalina Classic’. A 250 yard downhill race course tucked in the hills of an exotic little island located just 26 miles offshore, yet a world away from the rat race just across the channel. These skaters, along with this event have inspired generations of riders and largely contributed to the lifestyle synonymous with our part of the World. With a huge nod of respect to the originals of downhill skating – Riviera Skateboards and our closest friends presents, The Catalina Island Classic on May 5th-6th, 2012. A weekend long island skate invasion including live music performances, a miniramp demo featuring Mike Vallely and Elephant Brand Skateboards, and a 1.2 mile, invitation only downhill race event with a cash purse of $5000.”
Sabre Trucks: New 170mm Standard Truck

Ohh man…. Ive been waiting to see the photos of these bad boys for some time. These are the first CNC prototypes for the new Sabre TKP truck. This truck is going to be amazing for your larger sized double kicks and cruiser boards. The cast version is said to be made available later this year which is going to be awesome. If your also like me and have no Idea what cold forging is or what it means for your trucks you can follow the link over to the Sabre Site.
