Toronto: Slide School 2012

Toronto’s famous once a year event “Slide School” now has a date set for 2012. The event is gonna take place on Sunday May 13th at the Poop Chute in Toronto. Sponsors are pouring in, so if your interested in supporting this event please contact us. Otherwise we will see you there!
The Icetastic Event

The Icetastic Event will take place Sunday Feb 26 at 5pm at Colonel Samuel Smith Park.
There will be a race (ish) and flat land (ish) event. The Event will take place on an Ice Track located in the park.
Studded wheel will be used on the ice, which work surprisingly well. Instructions on how to make studded wheels will follow.
If you don’t have the tools to make a set there will be a staple gun at the race and a couple sets of extra wheels.
Park is located at Lakeshore and Kipling, follow Kipling south of Lakeshore to the park.

2012: Toronto Swap Meet

Its almost spring and that means at least for the people of Toronto that the Annual Swap Meet is fast approaching. On sunday March 25th everyone will gather at Roarockit and bring all the gear they plan on buying / selling and trading. This is one you want want to miss out on, especially the slide jam after at the poop chute.

Raw Run Flashback: Pat Switzer

“Two years ago, Pat Switzer stayed at the skatehouse for a couple of days before embarking on a storied road trip up to the Maryhill Festival of Speed in Andrew Mercado’s infamous white van.
Pat filmed the whole trip; but never put out any of the footage. We did manage to get our hands on a raw run from here in LA, which turned out to be one of our most popular videos.
Fast forward to last month. Patrick was in LA, hanging out at the skatehouse. We asked him if he still had that old footage of him skating as night fell. Dude obliged, and we present it here for your enjoyment. Special thanks to Matt “McLovin” Livingston for driving like a maniac to get the footage.”
